Stego Bun privacy policy

Stego Bun is made by Lance N. in Singapore ("we"). This policy explains what information the game uses and why. We keep it to what the game needs.
What we collect
- Your game. Stego Bun's state: his meters, finds, decorations, companions, pebbles and progress, and the postcards he snaps (small pictures of the game's own scenery). It's stored on our server so it survives a lost or new phone, and a copy is kept on your phone.
- An account identifier. When you first open the game we create an anonymous account for you. If you choose to link a Google account, Google shares your Google account ID, email address, name and profile picture with us, so you can sign in on other phones. The game doesn't show or use your name or picture.
- Your time zone, so Stego Bun's day (bedtime, mornings) follows your clock.
- A record of game actions (what you did in the game and when), to keep the game fair and fix problems.
Notifications (for example, when he's home from a trip) are scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent to us for them. We do not collect your contacts, location, photos, or advertising identifiers, and we don't show ads.
How we use it
To run the game, keep your progress safe, and fix problems. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run the game for us: our database and server host, Supabase (servers in Singapore), and Google (if you sign in with Google). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and everything in it at any time in the game: Settings (the gear) → Delete account. It's deleted from our server straight away. You can also ask us by email at hello@stegobun.com, and we'll delete it within 30 days. More at stegobun.com/delete.
Children
Stego Bun is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing hello@stegobun.com. We'll reply within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the game.
